A while back my mom went here for some dental work. It was something she really needed done. The procedure was going to be very painful and emotional for her. Everything was going fine and than my mom started to experience pain and told the dentist that she was starting to feel everything. He immediately got frustrated with her, dismissed her and continued the procedure even though she was crying and shaking from pain. He told her that it was psychological. She started crying because it WAS extremely painful and asked if she could go to the bathroom in an attempt to get away from the pain for a second. She was immediately uncomfortable with his comment and almost stopped the procedure right then. While she was in the bathroom I asked him if that type of pain is normal and he told me it was in her head. I asked him if patients can process medication faster than others (obviously they can, I haven't even gone to medical school and I know that) and he told me "well ya but I don't think that's what's happening here". I told him that if she's in that amount of pain she probably CAN feel it. After she got back he finally gave her a bit more medication to manage the pain and she was fine after that. But the experience was so disrespectful and disappointing for her as this was something she was already nervous for and than denied her reality because it was an inconvenience for the dentist. I have experienced medical gas lighting a lot but this is THE most disgusting example I have ever witnessed. I personally feel like this person does not have the capability or the capacity to work in this field and should quit his job. After this the front desk lady was very short and acted as though us checking out was the worst thing that had ever happened to her. Overall the experience was one of the worst I've ever experienced and I wasn't even the one it actually happened to. I hope that dentist experiences this amount of dismissal by a medical professional at some point in his life. I wish him nothing but the worst.
My provider Maggie is the absolute best. She is very through and patient service is excellent! She really cares for her patients.
My 80 year old mother had got charged twice in the same visit who is on Medicare and then hooked her up to an E.K.G machine and they where kicking the machine to get it to work and then told me I need to take her to the hospital what kind of cracker Jack clinic is this I wouldn't recommend this place if you care for your loved ones seriously anybody else would be better better than health works
Let me start by saying ALL of the staff here is wonderful. So friendly, patient, welcoming and accommodating. I saw Dr Campbell today and she is absolutely wonderful. I have never had a dr. cover so many issues in one visit— I finally feel like I may finally be on the right track to getting my health back in order! I also qualified for the sliding fee scale and I am so grateful to find a place to receive care that I can afford without insurance. I am so thankful for Healthworks.
I do not normally post public reviews unless I've received EXCEPTIONALLY great service. In a moment of personal crisis, and with staffing obviously short staffed, my care team did everything they could to get me in ASAP and begin care right away. Sandy, one of the receptionists up front is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. I'd also like to compliment Dr. Rob Meyer, one of the coolest dentists I have ever met. I'm normally sensitive when it comes to pain, but we completed today's task with ABSOLUTELY no pain and and exceptionally great looking result. The dental department can get behind, but it's for a reason, Dr. Rob really knows what he's doing, won't cause you ANY pain, and will make you feel comfortable and understanding of each step right away. Again, in paid expensive offices, I have never been treated this well. Wanted to extend a compliment and thank you for the care you gave me today Dr. Rob, thank you. I was initially assigned to my PCP Joyce, and I am blown away with how she dealt with me and my family. I am not kidding, Joyce called me personally to ask how I was feeling and how family matters were going. HealthWorks has treated me better than ANYWHERE I've lived before. Give these guys a shot, you won't regret it. And thank you HealthWorks team for everything you do. :)
