I can't recommend this clinic. They roll their eyes if you ask questions. The dude that draws blood got frustrated and stabbed me several times and when I yelled for him to stop the act like I did something wrong. but you know what you did dude. they have hungry for life they don't explain or they don't understand illnesses and how they affect you they don't even tell you that you have them. they're very and they'll just roll your eyes at them they have harmed me for life best avoid them I would say

The Carolyn Downs Clinic is an important medical resource for those with little or no means to our repulsively expensive health care system. The staff is dedicated and their service invaluable. My son has used the clinic...without which, he would be shut out of health care services.

I didn’t end up seeing a physician, but I wanted to share feedback about a recent experience with the front desk. I called as a prospective patient to ask basic questions about annual skin screenings and insurance referrals. During the call, I was repeatedly placed on hold and given very limited information. When I asked whether mole checks and skin screenings were similar, I was told, “I’m not medically trained to provide that information.” When I then asked if there was anyone medically trained I could speak with to clarify what services would be appropriate, I was told, “No, there isn’t.” The response was brief and offered no additional explanation, which came across as dismissive and made it difficult to determine whether to schedule preventive care. This feedback is not about the doctors, but about communication and patient access. I hope it’s helpful for improving the experience for future patients.

I moved here from Austin TX and needed my meds refilled as quick as possible, but had no idea what to do, so I was told to come here. The staff are all very friendly and professional. I was able to get my HRT prescription (that I was days away from running out of) the same day at a walk-in! I have no medical insurance, but they have a program to help out, and had to pay a super negligible amount. Amazing location!

I’ve been a patient at their sister clinic for over a decade; I love my doctor and my care team. They’re absolutely exceptional, kind and caring. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ However, the medical records department is abysmal - the lady running the office is a complete snark. Once she sent my records to the wrong place, sent another patient’s records to me, then refused accountability; most recently she dropped the ball on sending out another record. No matter how one tries to placate her, she’s still rude and cold. If you need records sent out accurately and with care, I recommend thoroughly checking her work, then pushing back firmly if you find something is amiss.
