Let me be clear. If you are in need of life saving medicine DO NOT...I REPEAT! DO NOT relay on their pharmacy. I have called 7 times for a refill since last Wednesday and NO ONE has bothered to even call me.
I started to contact Healthpoint Des Moines at around 1:30 PM and waited for 30 minutes to talk to somebody and ended up requesting a call back. I did not receive a call after 1 hour and tried again for another 20 minutes. It' s very frustrating to deal with this type of of service involving medical. It's about time to have another provider rather than wasting time with Healthpoint.
No one wants to help if you have a problem. The system does not make any sense. If you need to speak to your local pharmacy you are not allowed to call directly. You have to call the Central Pharmacy and have them transfer you. Most of the time when you call you end up spending a few minutes on hold only to get a message that no one can answer. If you leave a message ot is unlikely tou get a call back. It took three hours to find out if my perception was ready. By then it was too late because I would not get there before they closed. The local clinic I use is great. The main office is horrible.
This is no longer a Covid testing site. Just waited on the phone for 20 minutes for someone to tell me that.
I would say be prepared for a long hold time for scheduling just in case you are in a rush. I will say the professionalism, follow through, and ease of the testing and resulting process more than made up for the hold time. The doctors and nurses took there time to explain the whole process as well as results and next steps.
