I’ve been going to this office for medical reasons for 7 years. My primary doctor has been changed quite a few times over the years but I’ve recently been able to stick with the same doctor for almost a year now and I’ve always come here for help and they are very supportive and help in every way they can even with helping me get my mental health back on track. Dr. Matli has been there to assist me throughout many of my issues I brought to her.
Horrible experience. I paid money just to be told what she THINK is wrong with me. The nurse had a snippy attitude maybe because it was lunch time. They gave me my papers to get an xray and told me just to look on the doors until I find it. I took my xray and was told they would call me with my results. I haven't heard a thing. I'm not low income and have paid insurance and was treated horribly. None of the staff even attempted to help me find the xray room. The nurse seem to think prayer would help my pain. I'm truly appalled. I will be seeing my primary doctor today.
With as many people as the doctors, pharmacy, and Good Health Card ladies see and interact with on a daily basis, I'm thrilled that the whole place is as efficient, coordinated and friendly as they are. Working with people in general is never easy but I feel like on a regular daily basis, "bad days" not included cuz we all have them, patients get treated a well as possible. Remember no one is perfect on either side of the desk!
For the most part the clinic does try since they are the low-income and most of Waco is low-income. But I know that most people are human but when it comes to hating someone when they don;'t know you is downright appalling. I can't trust my doctor cause she hasn't done anything about it. She feels that I need to hurt and to feel pain and I just can't understand that. They did me an injustice and they don't won't to correct it. This clinic needs an overhaul. I won't stand for anyone lying about me and not apologizing.
The staff at the Family Health Center are friendly, except for the woman who does the "Good Health Card" discount program. She is rude and she acts like she is being bothered by your presence. She is also unprofessional. There are great counselors at the counseling center, though. Anna and Abby are very caring and they are professional at all times. I appreciate them.
