Scam/deception : back in July 2025 I filled out the paperwork and I qualified as a low income patient for dental. I set up my first appointment in person at the dental location but they refused to state how much it would cost for a regular cleaning. So my first time dental appointment I find out they want to charge me $230.00 (initial exam) plus the dental cleaning amount of probably $100.00. I am a low income resident...I cannot afford this, so I left. They are scamming San Antonio residents.
I had my first visit this morning with Dr. Betancur. I was very satisfied from the time I walked in until the time I left. Dr. Betancur is very professional, as well as the nurse and the front desk. I am very glad I did not read these reviews beforehand to sway my decision. I am looking forward to my future care with this clinic.
I just want to say that if you’re looking for a good Dr office try Communicare. They are awesome. Switched my kids from Centro med to them and man the difference is amazing and a breath of fresh air. My kids use to see the doctors at Research Plaza, like others posted it went down hill once Centro med took over. If can don’t be scared to try another doctor office. I’m so glad I made that switch!
Was scheduled for behavior health and said they don’t do that after I was at appointment . Also stated they would refill my meds while waiting on other appointments for behavioral health refused to refill meds as they stated they would. They also have things in my chart I never signed up for. My advice be triple sure you know what you are going in for and always know what’s accounted for .
At this place(family practice ) they don’t let you go in with spouse. My husband doesn’t comprehend well-he’s had a couple of strokes and a heart attack. He went there because he had body aches (cold/flu related) So I asked the front desk person to let the nurse know some information and I never saw her go to the back to let the nurse know. They were too busy talking (3 people in the front . When I asked the person in the front again she made a face like if she was bothered by my questions. . Not professional!!!!! Not good customer service!!!!
