You have a machista doctor in women's health. A Dr. Torrez. He was rude after he quickly noticed I stuttered. I am not GNG to go to his follow up, knowing I could be insulted again. I will make another appt. with a female Dr. We women with disabilities shouldn't be insulted, making us think and feel underneath his machista ability to antagonize the less blessed.
This review is regarding dental department in Harlingen, Saturday hours. I choose to bring my kids on Saturdays due to work and school schedules during the week, so Saturday dental appointments would seem like a no brainer. Wrong!! The dentist rescheduled last minute on 3 different occasions because she was going to be out of office. I understand; I have a family and things come up too. We finally get an appointment where she'd be present. We arrive about 10 minutes before our appointment time (10AM); mind you , we were given instructions of not allowing daughter to consume anything for 2hours prior, so by this point it's been a little over 12hours since her last meal (9:30pm night prior). We get called back around 10:25, get set up, and wait, and wait, and wait. The dental assistant apologizes for the delay saying they are swamped. By 11:15, I'm texting my husband to switch places with me since I'm 24weeks pregnant and have to eat something to keep my blood sugar from plummeting. We switch; he then texts me 5minutes later that the dentist has moved on from my daughter because the dentist wants my daughter's hair tied up, and my husband does not have a hair tie. WHAT!? They failed to mention this for the 50minutes we were waiting and now the dentist has moved on? Who does this? Knowing a 9year old hasn't had anything to eat in 14hours and you further delay the tooth extraction? I don't get it. I know that there is over booking, but I feel my daughter was being skipped so the dentist could do simpler cleanings. Now my husband is saying they are only going to extract 1 tooth today. Why? Because it's 12:13pm, and dentist likely wants to go to lunch.
DONT BECOME A PATIENT HERE. Should actually sue. My mom has high blood pressure and they gave her birth control pills which increases risks of stroke and heart attacks and makes her blood pressure higher. She’s been taking them for 6 months. Don’t go here they don’t know what they’re doing with their MALPRACTICE. They tried to GASLIGHT her saying she didn’t get them here and then they realized they did. I also was a patient here and explained to them how my period isn’t normal I faint, throw up, can’t walk and can’t do basic things. was actually crying to them explaining the pain I go through. They basically said I was dramatic and act like a pregnant woman who asks for leave when she doesn’t need it. SHAME ON THIS CLINIC.
