I read on their website that vaccines are $25 if you don't have insurance, but only if you can afford $25, otherwise it is free. I called to see if they take walk ins. They said they do, but only for flu vaccine. I asked how to get an apt for the covid vaccine. She said we have to be an established patient and that it costs $200 without insurance. I explained that wasn't what the website said. She said well it is $200 and you need to see a nurse. We need all your records. Don't trust this place. They don't stand behind the prices on the website and the people who answer the phone are very rude and don't seem to know what they are doing. Sad, they don't actually care about poor people in the area.

Extremely Unprofessional Front Desk and Poor Handling of Patient Privacy I recently visited North Texas Area Community Health Center (2332 Beverly Hills Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76114), and had one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had at a medical office. While checking out, I asked the front desk staff to confirm that my prescription had been called in. Instead of responding discreetly, the front desk employee loudly announced details about it in front of the entire waiting room — a clear breach of patient privacy and confidentiality. When I calmly asked her not to announce my information aloud, she became defensive, laughed at me, threw my card back at me, and made comments under her breath in Spanish knowing I wouldn’t understand. I brought the situation to the attention of the manager, but she showed little concern until I mentioned that this is a HIPAA violation. The lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic respect for patient privacy was unacceptable. Patients deserve to be treated with courtesy and confidentiality, not embarrassment and attitude.
