⸻ I had a very disappointing experience at this ENT clinic. I’ve been dealing with serious breathing issues for over a year and was referred here for surgical evaluation. I had already completed CT scans and allergy testing prior to my visit. Unfortunately, the nurse practitioner I saw—I believe her name was Lizzy—did not review my medical records, was unaware that I had a CT scan done, and refused to look at the documentation I brought with me. Despite clear evidence and my ongoing symptoms, I was told it was “just allergies,” even though allergy testing had already been completed. I explained that I have difficulty breathing at night and that this has been affecting my quality of life for a long time. I was sent home once again with allergy medication and steroids—medications I’ve already been taking for the past year with no improvement. This visit felt rushed, dismissive, and unprofessional. After waiting so long for help and being referred for surgery, it was extremely frustrating to feel unheard and not properly evaluated. I expected a thorough review of my history and imaging, and that did not happen.
"I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire Burn Center team on the 6th floor. The doctors, physicians, and nurses are truly world-class. Seeing my son go through such a difficult injury was heartbreaking, but your dedication and hard work gave our family so much strength. The staff was not only professional and highly skilled but also showed genuine compassion and kindness toward my son during his recovery. It is clear that this team is incredibly committed to their patients. Thank you for your tireless work and for taking such wonderful care of my boy!"
I did a visit to the ER. The staff and security were very nice everyone was helpful. I was very impressed on how fast they get your labs done and get x-rays done. It was almost instant when I walked in and they had my labs going doing x-rays all that went so fast like as soon as I got there then I was put in the lobby to wait and I did not realize this is not your typical ER so be ready to wait hours I waited seven hours before I had to leave to work so I did not get to see the doctor to go over my results. And it is flu season so wait times 12 hours plus to go over the results. Probably not a place to bring your children due to homeless people walking in and ripping off their clothes with mental issues and others fighting and being handcuffed. So if you’re not used to scenery like that, you’re probably best going to a regular ER and waiting three or four hours. I do think it’s great that they are taking their time to address every individual with their issue and they’re being detailed about it and I definitely feel like they would get to the issue or whatever you were dealing with The only downfall you better have two days off just in case Wait times are not your typical 3 to 4 hours in the ER. I would come back, but I rather go make an appointment at their clinic and wait 3 to 4 hours there versus the ER. So remember when you go in, you may have 100 people ahead of you but they’re handling everybody individually to address your medical need so it’s going to take time and have a lot of patience.
If you are in pain this is not the hospital to come to. I came here in so much and at triage the pa asked no question I waited for 5 hours in pain with no medication. When I got to the room finally the doctor said that the pain will go away on its own. I asked if I could get some meds as the pain was unbearable she then offered meds and testing. After doing labs and getting the medication I felt no relief and I was feeling nauseous I was still in some much pain but because the doctor was leaving she had to discharge me. I have been unable to eat for the past 3 days and they could care less . All they wanted was to me leave with a pain level at 10 because the incoming physician did not want overnight patients. The nurse brought discharge paperwork and I informed that they never came to check up on me after I still felt a lot of pain she said “if you don’t leave we are calling officers because you can deal with it at home” she then leaves and shoves the door and the provider comes in from they day shift and he said even if you are in pain I have to send you home ?? Excuse me I have not been able to eat or drink since Saturday and I feel nauseous how can I drive home like this ? He did not care and called the officers keep in mind with an IV still in and no nausea medication. I will never be back here the PA pictures was laughing with the nurse because I was in pain. This provider should not practice medicine and the nurse should be nurses. I will never come back.
Please have your children at a different hospital, after some of the worst experiences from the nursing staff here. Such as attempting to overfeed my child, insisting my wife was able to breastfeed they kept demanding she pump. A couple of nurse (Ann and Estela x20791) kept asking us to have 3 more children, wanting us to return. Ann wasn’t helpful at all with the baby, never really doing anything other than her “job”. Dina insisted we try to breastfeed even though from the beginning my wife explained she couldn’t, kept trying to tell us how to feed him. They’d even forced her to watch a breastfeeding video despite this being our second child. Guess they don’t know what “no” means. Even the doctor agreed that was too much for a newborn baby to be fed, hoping if we have another child it’d be elsewhere. My wife nor my son were able to get any rest. The only nurses to be helpful, supportive, and caring were Brooklyn, Maria, Natalie, and Anaria. They were there helping giving plenty of time and being there for us going above and beyond. They definitely deserve to be mentioned for their dedication. If not for them I would’ve given parkland 1 star. The 6th floor needs to get it together.
