My bff is low income and has mental health issues. They charge $15/visit for a prescription refill which he was fine paying. Four times in a row they waived him from paying the $15. The last time he went in they wanted to collect the $60 balance plus a $15 copay. He doesn’t have that amount of money to pay unexpectedly! They wouldn’t see him unless he paid it. As his emergency contact, I called for him to try to reason with them that he really needs the medication or he becomes extremely depressed and anxious. Coastal Bend Wellness showed ZERO empathy for the situation and said the balance has to be paid before he’s seen. I asked to speak to someone that would be more understanding of the situation and let him be seen while gradually paying off the balance. They transferred me to a voicemail and then never called back. I am so disappointed that this non-profit showed zero care for their patients’ well being.
I'm not satisfied.. I feel the only one that does listen to me is the nurse assistant that the np. That I have and the lab tech are amazing.. those r the only 3 the nurse & the lab tech I have a lot of issues going on with me but yet my np.told me 1 thing at a time im still dealing with the legs she never asked for any of my medical records from my other Dr. I think they want me to do the job. And if I need something signed forget it I get denied for alot a medical stuff I need due to that then we have to apply again until I complain then I'd figure the Dr would see me every month but not my n.p. she sets me up for every 3 to 4 months that's crazy . That's what I go through.. me yes I complain to the supervisor. But until then something is done .why does it have to go that far for them to do their job . 1 time had to wait 1 week to get my prescriptions because they didn't called them in. I'm like ugh can't wait.. my Dr is a nurse practitioner not a dr.. im very dissatisfied with her . She sweet but doesn't know about me just what I tell her & the notes . I'm ready to find another Dr.and staff in the front & the call be waiting for 30min or hang up
High turnover rate, so you can never get used to your doctor. The communication is very poor, and at times they'll cancel your appointments without even telling you. This has happened to me multiple times. Once I found out that my doctor had left the clinic and thus they had cancelled my appointment with him only because I had called to reschedule for something else. I had already called off of work for that day. When were they planning on telling me?? Another time, I had been left waiting to be seen for over an hour and thirty minutes. Never once did anyone check in, I was just completely forgotten about as if my time didn't matter to them. I had work later that day, so I had to leave without even being seen. All this for my checkup that usually lasts 5 minutes max. They can leave you waiting for hours, but if YOU are mere minutes late to your appointment then they'll just cancel it. No grace given. Which is shameful for a place that prides itself on being there for disadvantaged communities in need. Unfortunately this is the only clinic in town that I know of that specializes in the treatment I need. Don't go here if you have a choice. It can be very frustrating, and I don't doubt the other negative reviews for a moment. I want this place to do better, because there's seemingly nowhere else in Corpus for people like me. The only thing keeping my review from being a one star is that the doctors and phlebotomists I've seen so far are all very sweet people. They're the only good thing about this place.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ‼️ Would you try to explain to them on what’s going on? Staff tried to argue with you that they are right. I gave staff a new patient packet. I had been waiting for over 2 months for an appointment. Come to find out they lost it. Mind you have called them numerous times regarding the New Patient appointment. They refused to provide the manager info. This facility is literally run as CIRCUS‼️ Very incompetent‼️ If I could, I would give them a NEGATIVE 5‼️
Service is hit or miss. SOMETIMES they are really good. Other times they are not. I think their policies get in the way of Great care. Their recent policies put too much burden on the patient and its not fair. Its wrong. I have been coming to this clinic for years! And the recent changes have been horrible. AND THE HOLD TIMES ON THE PHONE! THIS WEEK I CALLED AND EACH TIME I WAS IMMEDIATELY PLACED ON HOLD FOR 30 MINS!!!! Who does that?? No one ever answers the phone they just place you on hold and like wait for you to hang up after a 10+ mins hold. When they can easy take 1 min to transfer you. Paperwork that my job depended on kept getting delayed due to poor communication from the dr and clinic. I ABSOLUTELY do not like they keep a signed paper on file to request info from other clinics at will. Feels UNCOMFORTABLE AND gives me a sense of loss of agency. They make it seems like we are just numbers and data to collect and not actual patient with lives. I once recommended this clinic to people but not any more. I AM.SO VERY DISAPPOINTED. They help alot of people but they lack professionalism at times and the HIGH TURN OVER RATE of Medical Staff and reg staff Make it EXTREMELY HARD to build repore with a dr or staff.
