They give you an appointment at a certain time, but the doctor sees you 2, 3, or 4 hours later; they don't care about your time.
I would give it 0 stars, but it won't let me. There's never any walk-in space for either children or adults. Everything is by appointment, and appointments are scheduled weeks in advance. If your child has a fever, forget it; they won't see them at the pediatrician's and will send you to the emergency room, which is overcrowded with only one doctor for both children and adults. There's almost never any space, or they don't have enough doctors, and they close the emergency room, forcing you to go all the way to ManatÃ. The only person at that hospital who has any real empathy for patients is Dr. Shirley in the emergency room; she's truly dedicated and works with passion. Otherwise, the service is unfortunately terrible. My family and I switched IPAs; we had too many bad experiences. Renovations and a luxurious hospital are worthless if they lack the most important thing: good patient service. I hope they consider improving their services. Oh, and I'm not the only one complaining; many people have been complaining about the poor service in recent months. So please take this complaint into account when evaluating your services. Thank you.
My boyfriend went in to get a doctor's note for his inflamed toe so he could rest and he was told an infected toe was no excuse to have work off. He's constantly bleeding and could possibly infect other people, and moreso himself - yet he's just told to go back to work. I bet if you asked these people if they want to work with an inflamed toe for 10+ hours, they'd lose their minds. It just seems like they wanted him in and out. Awful service. Go to any other ER, it'd be better there.
My experience in Ciales wasn't very good. Look at the ticket time; they called me at 12:45, and when I arrived, the X-ray technician said, "I'm sorry, I'm going to lunch now because I've already seen 16 patients. You know, wait." I've worked in customer service for over 30 years and have a master's degree in Global Management, and I can't believe their logistics are based on me going to lunch right when it's my turn. That needs to improve because the service in Vega Baja is excellent.
