I left this place over a decade ago. Got to a walk in clinic as like a last resort. I was once given meds that couldnt be taken with other meds I was on. Staff is very rude. When Gomar and Mirza retired I swear it was the downfall for that place. I would rate it -star but yea it don't let me.
There is a reason this clinic is rated 3 stars... If I had another option, I would've picked a long time ago. Every time I call, someone's either not at the phone right now or it's a lunch hour. Whenever they call back, if ever, it's always to a guardian/emergency contact, not mine! For the past few days I've been calling just to switch cvs locations for my prescription. I'm past my deadline now and still no one is at the desk?? Any time I go in for a check up, someone is always at that desk. I'm not in dire need of my prescription right now but I'll obviously need to schedule a pick up in the near future.. So if this establishment is doing more than pretending to type/read at their desk all day, then just answer your patients' calls !
My family has had ongoing issues with this primary care office involving my son’s appointments. Months ago we updated our phone number and clearly asked staff to use the new number. Despite this, the office repeatedly continued calling the old number. I have voicemail proof of this. Different staff members kept rescheduling appointments without properly documenting them, then later claimed we “missed” three appointments, which is not true. These were office errors. When I called to address this, a staff member who was not even responsible for scheduling confronted me, denied the wrong-number calls despite evidence, and spoke in an unprofessional and pressuring manner. When I asked for an office manager, the call was disconnected. Management eventually apologized for staff behavior, but did not initially take accountability for the repeated scheduling mistakes that impacted my child’s care. As parents, we do everything we can for our son. Being blamed for administrative failures was hurtful and unacceptable. Medical offices should take communication and documentation seriously, especially when it involves children
Once again Ana Ramos helped me navigate the complex affordable care act system. She is so knowledgeable , friendly and helpful. She is truly an asset to Scranton primary care center and to all of the locals who can use some guidance and support.
There is a front desk lady who is an egregiously rude employee. For some reason, she deliberately messes with me whenever I call and she answers the phone once a month, for refills. She says that she will take care of it and EVERY time, she does NOTHING and I’m left three or four days later to realize that she did it again. When I finally get a hold of one of the nurses, she tells me, “no, I didn’t get any message about your meds.” This has probably happened 8-10 times total. Frustrated, I confronted her on the phone. In an overly gushing cringe fake sweet voice she was answering “But no, sweetie, I would never…” But she definitely would and DOES. I have all of the dates and notes with my bad interactions with her. I’ve never even been rude to her once, just when i confronted her about her attitude and her (lack of) actions toward me. It gets worse. I had an ultrasound (test results take 2-3 days) done at the behest of the doc, in April, 2025. It’s just for UTERINE CANCER! No biggie. As of October 14, 2025, I still don’t know the results?? I called back in April 4 or 5 times. She threatened to call the police on me. Now, when I call, she ACTUALLY picks up the phone and HANGS UP on me, before anyone has said hello. Today alone, she’s done it three times. I sincerely don’t know what I’ve ever done to her. I guess she decides when and IF people need healthcare. I wonder if they do this to her at her doctors’ office…? Idk what to do but if that test is positive and they’ve known since April, they could (will) get sued because of this one bad actor. I saw some very inappropriate responses to patient reviews here, breaking HIPPA laws and such. I’m willing to hazard a guess it’s her, bc all the others are sweet and respectful. She is the only employee there who is weird enough to carry all of her piling up resentments into her next day. Obviously, I’ll have to switch docs but before I can do that I need my report. I will have to go out of my way to take the bus all the way down there this week. I’m almost 60, with many physical problems. Will she call the police on me when I show up there?
