Extremely disappointing, waste of time. I found Dr Tim Moore , spinal surgeon , to be dismissive of clear and obvious structural issues, in favor, of unrelated theories, that don’t match my symptoms. I Felt he was following a triage script designed to minimize surgical care. Don’t mistakenly see him for a 2nd surgical opinion.
I had the worst experience of my life. The RN was was very dismissive and rude, I came in with chronic pain and was treated as if I drug addict I felt disregarded and the nurse WAS in-accommodating and one of the nurses even talked about me within earshot for requesting a wheel chair that they didn’t provided, at the end of my stay someone even told me “you know can’t stay” after just receiving My discharge papers and waiting on my ride this experience was very isolating and demeaning . I want to be clear that I expressed to the nurses that I have a phobia of needles that was treated without compassion the nurse repeatedly huffed their breath, rolled their eyes and spoke to me in a curt tone. The nurse continued to be non understanding to my pain as I was preparing for the shot I was shaking and she continued to give me sass because my pain prevented me from remaining still. It was freezing in the hospital and it took me to beg two RNs to finally provide me a blanket. It seems to be a lot of cultural biases durning my stay. The community would benefit from this floor receiving education in compassionate care as well as the signs and symptoms of chronic pain.
In general, I wouldn’t say this is the greatest hospital or location of Metro. Some of the ED staff could be a bit more attentive, but overall good. Nurse Sophia was wonderful in the ED. I have been to two Metro locations 4 times this past week and the ED nurses were awesome at both locations. Scheduling with urology for kidney stone surgery has been a nightmare at main campus. After being told multiple times they would get me in either that day or that week, they wouldn’t call me like I was told they would, and they wouldn’t return calls. After finally getting an office visit, I was greeted by a nurse practitioner Stacy Volker and she was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly, attentive, and also super helpful with questions and gave us a lot of good advice! She also made sure the office contacted us right away. 10/10 for Stacy.
I had sciatica pain for 2 1/2 weeks. Very beating pain to where I could not walk I went to this place seen by a doctor. She never examined my leg. She proceeded to tell me that I could not go to any urgent care any emergency room or any doctors office for help she prescribed a Toradol shot and Pain patches I have had three Toradol shots previous in the last 2 1/2 weeks with no Relief the nurse came in. I proceeded to tell the nurse that I gained 15 pounds in two months but I lost 4 pounds within the last 2 1/2 weeks. He proceeded to tell me 4 pounds is not enough. I Was discharged still in pain the next morning I could not walk I was crying. I was in so much pain 911 was called I went to Cleveland clinic the nurses and the doctor that examined me ordered x-rays And let me know exactly what was the problem? I I think Cleveland client doctors and nurses they helped me. I will never go back to Metro emergency room and I will never recommend Metro emergency room because of this the staff or at least that doctor and that nurse does not care about their patients.
The nurses and Doctors here are outstanding ! My loved one needed aggressive surgery last night. The Doctor was very informative, and helped my stress level by talking calmly. The nurses are very caring and attentive. She stayed overnight and I came within the visiting hours window to see her. She said groggy, "I remember how nice and kind they were to me the whole time". I only wish the cafeteria was great as the entire Orthopedic staff we encountered these few days. Parking was easy and well labeled. Very clean Hospital and I will highly recommend this Main campus for your needs. We have been to the other Hospital before, "we won't name" And the care is very different on all levels.
