I just started taking my grandsons here. I found the staff very friendly. We were seen quickly, and all my concerns were addressed quickly with referrals where needed. Even though there were areas being remodeled, the facility was clean. The area being worked on was blocked off from view.
I had an appointment for 10:30 am at Wilson community Health center. They said I should arrive 30mins before time,I planned on such a way I would arrive earlier than the 30mins,only for me to get to the road and there was reconstruction going on.We had a diverted traffic.I happened to reach the center at 10:25 am only for the lady to reschedule my appointment till July30th,not minding how my health is right now. This is really not fair from the provider.I don’t know if it would be okay for the person’s health condition to go worse before he sees a provider.
The people--from the attendants (check in) to the nurses (triage) to the extended care team (practitioners/lab technicians/counselors) to everyone in the pharmacy--are ALL amazing. They are compassionate, courteous, concerned, and consistent, even when life throws its obstacles in your path. I believe they have quite literally saved my life.
If your going to accept a walk in the least you could do is take 6 minutes to address the patients concerns. My mother was sent home with steroids for a rash this “Doctor” didn’t even look at it is now worse and I’m starting to wonder if coming back here is a good idea.
Dr Hines has the balance of all the needs and preferences in my follow up visit. Overall good staff, I especially want to compliment the receptionist that checked me in today, I believe it was Janixa Ortiz, very polite, kind, great personality and competence in job. Need more like that in this field.
