We love the doctors and most of the staff, however, the wait times for a SCHEDULED appointment are sometimes too long. As I traveled to my son’s appointment today, a road was shut down, which required me to detour and be 8 minutes late, which I communicated to staff. They said no problem as long as it’s not more than 15 minutes late. I wasn’t more than 10 minutes late due to the road closure. After checking in and waiting 35 minutes I asked how much longer until my son would be seen, to which the receptionist said “well, you were late.” Which is an unacceptable answer and pretty rude honestly. Me being 8 minutes late due to a road closure does not mean we should sit in the waiting room for 40 minutes. Either I made it to the appointment within the allowed time or staff should have not checked us in and said since you were late we cannot see him. The front desk staff needs some retraining in professionalism and decorum.
I’ve only been a patient of Dr. Willett’s for a short time, but I am very pleased so far. I feel like he truly listens to me and cares about my opinions/how I feel. He doesn’t seem to automatically push every medication in the book for every little thing like many other doctors do which I appreciate as someone who prefers a more natural approach to health. Very knowledgeable. When I ask him my many anxiety-filled questions he doesn’t dismiss them no matter how ridiculous they are. It’s like you can see the wheels spinning in his head as he mentally flips through pages of research and weighs the possibilities. Thanks Dr. Willett!
Doctor never put a stethoscope on my husband's heart and missed diagnosis of afib. Refused testing for my husband for PSA and prostate. Husband switched doctors and was diagnosed with prostate cancer, not even 2 months after leaving MCHP. Poor medical care, lack of concern for patients, patronizing and arrogant.
Went there for a yearly sinus infection, but the dr stated that he wanted to wait 7-10 more days before he would consider anything other than over the counter meds. I advised that I did not want to wait that long as by that time the infection would travel to my lungs leading to pneumonia which is stupid! He did not do anything, and this type of "medical care" is a danger to anyone in Mitchell county. A "dr" that would rather let an illness go from a sinus infection to pneumonia is a disgrace to the profession. I then did a tella visit to my out of town provider who wrote a rx, 2 days later 90% better.
I have been going here for 7 years. The secretaries are so nice as are the nurses. Tiffany Woody is so kind, thorough, and trustworthy with your health needs. (She is now at the Burnsville Clinic.) Both clinics are exceptional! Dolores Volk
