Honestly,it took me many years with other doctors & NP's( basically was just seen as an addition to their paycheck,treated like an inhumane guinea pig!) This clinic is awesome, no long wait in waiting room,staff is cool& I finally found the health care provider I've been looking for!! Zawsai Aung is stuck with me now!! He knows exactly what he's doing,gives eye contact & understanding..not just sitting far away typing on laptop! Patient, thorough & basically I leave there feeling like a human who's cared for not just another paycheck!!Only drawback for me is the phone situation.
Dr. Liu is one of the nicest and friendliest professionals I have encountered. He listens and is very attentive to the needs of the patient. He doesn't rush and answers all questions. After a lengthy search for a primary physician, I'm more than happy to be under his treatment. The staff are kind and very helpful. Thank you Aksana for answering all my concerns, you are wonderful. The entire office is a blessing!! I highly recommend Upstate Family!!
It takes a long time to get in as a patient, and when you do they dismiss your concerns regarding your health. Wont give you medication that you need to help your health problems and want you to go to the hospital where they give you the exact kind of medication ( lasix ) that they wont prescribe. But you have to sit in the hospital for six to eight hours for a damn diuretic. Do referrals to a place knowing that your insurance do not cover it. Speak down to you as if you don't know what's going on with you medically.
The quality of care at this facility has steadily gone down over the past two years. This office currently does not have a phone service that is able to connect to the actual office. The number goes to an answering service outsourced overseas and has no direct phone contact with Upstate Family. You can no longer fill mental health or behavioral medications here. They provided 90 days notice but fail to recognize that finding a new mental health provider is a longer process than three months. For any prescription refills, they must be sent in two weeks before it is due otherwise they will fill it late without care. Abysmal.
My mom has been a patient here for several years. They were great in the beginning then her provider retired. She was then being seen by the next provider in her home with am emt coming in. This service was also discontinued. The next provider she had left the practice. I was then sent a letter stating they could no longer handle her care and to find a new provider. I have found a new provider buy she's unable to be seen for two more weeks in the meantime I need refills on her meds. I spoke with an office manager last month that said she would note her chart to continue refills until Aug. I've called multiple times and they are refusing the refills until we make an appointment and reestablish with them as a provider. I've asked multiple times for a manager to call me with no call back. Their calls all go through an answering service and I am unable to speak with anyone in the office. I do not recommend them.
