I had an appointment yesterday with MARIA LAFARO, NP, who is not my normal.provider, but as a patient of trillium since 2017, has me searching for a new Dr office! She was judgemental, she rapidly blinked and rolled her eyes constantly, talked to me like I am an addict (I have never done drugs) and talked to me like I am uneducated! All she kept worrying about is me smoking cigarettes! She walked in the room attempting to address issues I was not even there for! This by far is the worst experience I have had at trillium and sadly, I have had too many half ass providers thru here! This review is my first stop, I am also going to be contacting someone above Trillium regarding this provider as I have had to do in the past regarding other providers at this location! New York State Department of Health (DOH), Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC), Here I come!

I've had my issues with Trillium, but my provider is wonderful. She is always professional, has a good attitude, and great bedside manner. Trillium offers financial aid, had a vending machine outside where you can get Narcan, has a URMC blood lab and a pharmacy on-site, as well as a food pantry. I would like to see better staffing. As someone who tried to see the nutritionist, it was very difficult. To my knowledge, she currently only works from home part time. With the issues I am facing I need a provider I can see more than once every 3-4 months, preferably in person.

I had a very bad experience today. I had an appointment booked that I had done e check in beforehand, and when I arrived there they told me my insurance was inelligible. I called my insurance and they informed me coverage is confirmed till July 31st. I feel stranded and insecure, as i am out of my safety window for my next Prep injection. Luckily I have some pills left from my prep consultations in Brazil, but imagine if I hadn’t those?! What type of LGBT care health services are those?

Friendly and supportive staff, nurses, doctors...I love all the additional human services that make healthcare accessible, open-minded, shame-free, and people focused. Not to mention the bold LGBTQ+ support (especially gender affirming health) which we need now more than ever. I also love that the URMC lab is literally right next to the office so any labs can be done right then and there. They also have the pharmacy right there too, everything you need right in one place. It's now more tied in with the Rochester health system by being in MyChart too, which has been great to keep all my doctors and medical info together.

I went to the food cupboard for the first time on 2/26/25 and my experience was absolutely wonderful. Clean, well stocked and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I don’t remember the worker’s name who helped me, but he was fantastic! Thank you for all for the help with putting food on our table.
