You know why .. horrible experience I'm sick to my stomach
My husband and I tried out the Presbyterian Medical Center in Santa Fe for Primary Care. We both had different doctors for the same clinic. We both waited 4 to 6 months to see the doctors. My husband is 69 next month and the primary care doctor did not think that CBC or BMP/CMP were necessary annual blood work tests. The other doctor I saw, did not put through my medication, I followed up with MyChart, 2 days later still nothing so I had to call. Still waiting. The doctor put through referral for me to see Presbyterian GI despite my giving her the records showing I had been seen at Northern NM Gastroenterology and that is where I want and need to go. I had the front desk change it before leaving the clinic. I put through a message on MyChart explaining it. Nurse basically answered we use Presbyterian GI and that is how they work. The Presbyterian GI will take months to be seen. Northern NM Gastroenterology made me my endoscopy appointment but told me to have the doctor change referral to read “6 visits” to “Endoscopy”. So back to My Chart, no response yet. I don’t need to work this hard for care, the doctor clearly wasn’t listening to me. Perhaps other issues on their end, I don’t know. I will reach out to Presbyterian Patient Advocate tomorrow if not resolved. I regret trying out this clinic. Patients hope to have providers that listen and care.
ACCUSED OF BEING A CRIMINAL! I called billing to get a code for a claim I was submitting. A lady in billing said what I was doing was illegal and accused me of being a criminal. She refused to provide any information nor would she let me talk to her supervisor. I called corporate to make a complaint. I left a message to return my call. No one has contacted me to date. Unbelievably poor respect and response from a medical provider. Update Was contacted after my message to call me. Gentleman expressed concern and said he'd look into it. The lesson here is do not let the administrative staff treat you, the patient, poorly. Make your concern heard.
PMS staff were professional and knowledgeable. They helped me to obtain services that are difficult to obtain in the rural area where I live. I am very grateful for the help.
Good place for a quick check up or if you are feeling sick The staff is great, extremely attentive. Waiting time can be long if you go late in the day.
