I was referred to this doctor by a non-profit organization. I should have read the reviews before I went! Janice Owens send out a referral on me and the company sent the paperwork out to her. The staff incompletely filled out the paperwork and the only thing she needed to do was to fill out a certain section and send it back. Instead what she said I need to come back into the office to see her just to get that part filled out. The paperwork set in the office for over 3 months and it was never filled out properly, the only thing she had to do was fill it out and send it back in. I called the corporate office and they didn't do anything! She works for them and they didn't even care that a patient was not being treated right. She was upset because I had to call corporate to get her to do her job! I had to switch doctors and I finally got the equipment I needed. I am senior I felt that I was not treated properly and no one should have to go through that when they need equipment to mobilize themselves to get around. She sent her referral for something that I needed and then refuse to sign it. She did not care about my health she only cared about her pride. As patients we have rights and if you feel that you are not being treated right speak out!!!!! It seems like to me the only thing they are doing is just collect insurance money and not caring about the patience. This is why people need to speak out on clinics and doctors when they're not doing their job properly and also report them to your insurance company.
I would leave 0 starts if I could. My pcp sent a referral for rheumatology 12/16. I have called 3 times since then to try to get my appointment scheduled I am told each time I would receive a call back to schedule with in 24-48 hours. No one has ever called me back. I call again today on the 29th & am told the only person who can schedule me is out of office I will need to wait till she is back. This is ridiculous and leaves a horrible impression before I’ve even gotten a chance to go into the office. I would highly recommend everyone find any other office
I had been searching for a primary care provider for a long time and had visited UMC many times without having good experiences. Each visit left me feeling discouraged and helpless in my search for the right provider. After months of searching, I finally found this office, and from the moment I walked in to set my appointment, I felt welcomed. J. Owens is amazing. She was patient, thorough, and truly took the time to listen to me and my condition, unlike others who made me feel rushed or unheard. I finally found a primary care provider who listens, takes concerns seriously, and offers easy, fast access to care without long wait times. This made me feel supported and relieved after such a long search. The front office staff were super friendly and helpful, and the entire team worked together to make check-in smooth and the visit easy and stress-free. She is my go-to primary care provider, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else, even if I move back to Henderson. I would happily make the drive just to see her. J. Owens is truly amazing and kind.
This doctor’s office is a joke. I want somebody to actually care about their job and their patient. I seen Dr. Janice for the first time here and never want to go back. I got x-rays done of my back also informed her about my allergies which are pretty intensive And I don’t even leave with the allergy medicine or The sense that she even cared. I waited in the office for her to come And see me, I wasn’t feeling too well that day and was pretty tired so I was literally leaned over in the chair, so as she walked in I feel she automatically judged me and just started talking to me like I was a smoker or something. Once I start talking and she realized I wasn’t an idiot. Her tone changed, but there still was no concern of what I came for AnyWho after I have my x-rays she tried to say as if nothing was too wrong with my back which hurts daily and I don’t even get to see my x-rays because we did a Tele health appointment so basically she’s just a unconcern doctor getting paid off of people. I told them that I don’t want a fashion model for a doctor. I want somebody that actually cares. She puts more concerning her outfits that she does in her study. I never go to her again if she was the last doctor on earth and that’s the truth.
I had such a great experience at this office! Dr. Owens was absolutely wonderful. She was very thorough, patient, and really took the time to listen to my concerns. Her bedside manner was top notch. The front office staff were also fantastic! The three of them were friendly, professional, and welcoming from start to finish. I also had a great experience with the on-site lab tech. I felt well cared for by the entire team and would highly recommend this office!
