I went to this clinic for my annual/physical exam on Wednesday 12/24 of this year. The clinic is listed as one of the cheapest clinic if you don’t have insurance. Since I don’t have insurance I decided to go there. I went there, saw an np and they took I believe 5 or 6 blood samples for tests. I called on Monday 12/28 to obtain my blood test results, a nurse told me they don’t have my results yet. I asked them what name of lab courier they were using and they told me Quick lab. I called Quick lab to see if I can have my results, a lady picked up and told me that she sees my name but with nothing pending as if no tests were being done. I called back the clinic to tell them what the lab said and the front desk lady told me that a nurse will call me back when my results are available, the lady did not even pay attention to what I was telling her. I called back the following day upset and pressing them about my results that’s when they decided to tell me that my samples were lost and NO WHERE TO BE FOUND! I was very shocked. What a DISORGANIZED CLINIC WITH A TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! They lost my samples or threw them away, didn’t even care to inform the patient it??? What if I didn’t call to follow up? Unbelievable! As I was expressing my frustrations the front lady HUNG UP ON ME, very disrespectful! A friend of mine recommended me this clinic and I TERRIBLY regret coming here and would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to anyone . They’ve already charged my account for services that they didn’t provide! I’m going to call DHS and report this clinic for fraud!!

Big shout out to Dr Hicks and the dental staff. I was receiving dental care at another clinic where I had root canal done. They skipped the part where my insurance didn’t cover the crown. The dental clinics they suggested that may take my insurance wouldn’t either. I was running out of options until I bumped into Dr Hicks at the Convention Center. So a very special thank you to People’s Center Clinics & Services for helping those in need!

I’m a college student who was recommended this place as a close option for illness. Here’s the catch, I’ve been here a few times. I had a lovely nurse practitioner, super kind and helpful. However, my NP transferred to a different hospital. My next visit I only had to get blood drawn. I waited a half hour past my appointment time and the woman taking my blood was extremely cruel. She was calling me rude for asking if my appointment was still available, saying “I should keep track of time better” and to “not tattle to the reception” (as she’s poking me with a needle…) It was to the point of tears. She told me on my way out, “You can wait outside since I have a timer on me that’s actually keeping track of time.” I was embarrassed and getting my blood drawn hurt, she ignored my request and did my dominant hand. This was 11/14/2023. I worked in healthcare, I understand how busy and stressful it gets, but that’s no way to treat anyone, especially not someone you’re trying to take blood from. I won’t be returning and I haven’t since.

My experience was delightful and my needs were fulfilled. The front desk staff was kind, helpful and efficient. Special shout out to Dr. Hicks and the technician named Fidaa, they made me feel comfortable and were so knowledgeable. I will definitely be coming back for future appointments as well as recommending this clinic to others as well.
