Been a patient here since 1991 with various healthcare providers while there's improvement in certain areas. They have always provided me with everything I've needed and more
The receptionist was a mess. Couldn’t find my appointment or my insurance then finally found it after like 10 minutes of searching in her system..then I see the doctor I believe Dr Rion whom I’ve never seen before tell me I have no business being on medications I’m on when he knows NOTHING about my history! Then proceed to take me off of said medication despite the horrible repercussions from Just coming off and not tapering off..was very rude and disrespectful and didn’t discuss even removing them From my medication list he just did it…prescribes me an inhaler for my cough and the pharmacy couldn’t find me either and turns out they had my last name and date of birth year wrong. Everything about this place is wrong. They are not professional at all. Don’t know how to treat or talk to their patients. Make their patients feel small. Not a good place to go in my opinion. Find somewhere more progressional and knowledgeable!!
Doesn’t seem to prescribe many medications. I signed up for new insurance and this office was assigned as my PCP. I called to make a new patient visit and was immediately told, before they even offered up any other information, that they do not prescribe benzos, narcotics, or stimulants. I made her repeat that because I wasn’t sure I heard that correctly. I then confirmed that they do not prescribe ADHD medication. The woman said they refer those out to someone else. I somehow got assigned to the only PCP office that doesn’t prescribe this and wants to refer me into a system that is currently taking months to years to schedule. I can’t even go any further with this review because they won’t meet my needs.
Dr Ismail was a fine physician however, the rest of Packard Health has a lot to be desired. I moved to Ann Arbor and U of M said they are not taking new patients so I was referred to Packard Health. My initial appointment went fine but a week later a nurse followed up with me after my labs came in. First she recommended aerobic exercise. I have a pacemaker. I told her that my heart won’t literally go fast enough to be aerobic. Later I get a bill for the services which would be fine except I have insurance and secondary insurance. After calling and taking my time to try and get this resolved I eventually wound up finding a woman who said they would fix it. Now I continue to get bills and when you call the number you get a recording about the mailbox being set up wrong and they hang up on you.
I absolutely love this office. I see a Psychiatrist here as well as my Suboxone doctor. They are so kind and patient. I left Gammons medical to come here. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long.
