COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER OF CAPE COD, INC. operates the following service delivery sites. All locations provide care regardless of ability to pay.
We moved to Cspd Cod recently and needed a new doctor. I have been impressed with the entire organization so far! Very professional. I just met with Dr. Koren as a new patient. I am very happy with his expertise and care for my needs.
I rarely give businesses such low ratings but this one deserves it. The only center where you cannot make a MEDICALLY NECESSARY appointment without completing 11 page document first. This is the policy established by their board. Once you complete the 11-page all about you document and provide information that is not necessarily applicable to the appointment you are seeking, you have to either fax the paperwork (they never received mine because according to the person I spoke to they receive so many faxes), or mail it or deliver in person(this is what I was recommended). And then they give you warning that waiting times are 5-6 MONTHS!!! Don’t waste your time becoming their new patient.
If you enjoy filling out a huge paper packet by hand on an old clipboard, turning it in in person, and then waiting six weeks for a call, this place is for you. Be prepared to write the same information over and over because multiple pages ask for identical details. After finally hearing back, I was told they’re booking about a year out. When I eventually got an appointment, it was cancelled. Then I was dropped as a patient because, despite taking my insurance (Harvard Pilgrim), they “prefer” C3 insurance. No one explained what that meant until after the fact. And if this happens to you, heads up: their system treats you as a brand-new patient, so you get to go to the Mashpee location and fill out all the same paperwork again. Sadly, this lines up with a lot of the service I’ve experienced on the Cape.
I'm very fortunate to have found CHC. The process of becoming a new patient was quick and uncomplicated. The entire staff is courteous, caring and they LISTEN to all my concerns. I've had serious health issues for over 20 years and this is the best care I've received. Dr Koren has been a godsend. Thanks to all there!
Our family recently used the walk in clinic for an urgent visit and a follow up appointment and had a wonderful experience with Emily. Both her and the nursing staff were thorough, attentive, and were competent. I felt like they saw the whole person and not just another patient to get through. They were kind and respectful and were open to our concerns and respectful of our time. Having used other walk in clinics previously, I would opt to go back to the walk in clinic at the Mashpee Community Health Center.
