I have been going to this clinic for a couple years now and have nothing but positive things to say. I've worked with Dr Williams, Darryl, and now Dr Malek as a GP and all three have been incredibly patient, kind, caring, and attentive. They have helped me get my mental health on track and Dr Malek took my symptoms very seriously and made the necessary referrals for me when a few strange things started happening. I do want to make a note that Lifecoast is now affiliated with SLMA in Houma and some of the reviews here might be posted to the wrong business, so I'm hoping my review makes people feel better about coming here. It can be difficult getting proper medical care as a female and I have never once felt disrespected or ignored. I recommend their services to everyone in similar circumstances. Darryl and Dr. Malek have limited hours here due to also spending time at Chabert in Houma but they are absolutely worth the wait.

I came to this facility and was reassured that my insurance, United Healthcare, was accepted as I was told. However, the therapist I saw did not know he was NOT CERTIFIED with MEDICARE..He notifies me of this after several appointments. At this time, I'm being charged for those appointments that I believe I was misled regarding the financial situation. As far as capabilities, he was good, but rated low for the incorrect information..

I won’t be back. Being suddenly cut off from medication (that was given to me first day, first session) because I missed my last appointment, and my nurse went on vacay. She’s now back and won’t refill until my next due appointment. No urgency whatsoever. I feel weird. The front desk ladies don’t mind giving unprompted advice with no regard to what condition you may have going on with you. Just unprofessional, unreliable, and a great way to be pushed to the edge. If you need genuine help, I don’t suggest this place at all. Being cut off from medication IS dangerous. Being prescribed medication after talking to a nurse for less than an hour is too. Just a weird place. I’m dumbfounded.

I was hopeful that I could get a handle on my anxiety through this clinic. The nurse was great and I did like Heather but her solution was to prescribe a type of medication that maked me ill in the past, which I I had communicated to her. I tried to trust the process as she had suggested, and I spent 2 days dizzy and sick to my stomach. I asked for CBT to cope with the anxiety and she referred George who is not CBT certified. I will not be back. Very disappointing.
