Would give 0 stars if I could⌠after detoxing from several antidepressants that cause me to get âserotonin syndromeâ I sought out services here under the guise that they had a fully equipped staff and system in place for âadults and childrenâ I was told prior to my first appointment they do not prescribe stimulants for adhd which was actually a plus for me because I specifically did not want anything to affect me in the way that my previous medications had⌠I saw a nurse practitioner Kelly Nuckley⌠upon meeting her she seemed easy to talk to. However in the first visit she said I was âaddicted to foodâ because of my struggles with diabetes is why she assumed this but she didnât even ask if I was type 1 or type 2⌠Iâve been diabetic since I was 10⌠I am vegan and consume almost no carbs that was the first of many red flags. She prescribed me Effexor which I was comfortable with at a low dose, hydroxyzine & Latuda. After searching up the prescription Latuda I decided I would not take it. My anxiety and depression improved significantly within 2 weeks with the other 2 meds. On my 2nd visit I began to tell her a small portion of my âfamily dramaâ and I quote her âitâs not that I donât believe you but what youâre telling me is just not that believableâ⌠I have a tumor in my stomach and I suffer with migraines after being shot in the head when I was 14 and having several other head injuries from fatal car accidents the most recent one being a year ago where I became immobile until 2 months ago. She doesnât know that because she did not allow me to tell her about my head injuries because âI talk slowâ and she doesnât listen to her patients⌠she told me I donât need an mri because the âradiationâ is too much for my body at my age⌠I just need to take the medication she prescribes because all of my health problems are caused by depression and anxiety⌠and I quote her again âstay off of google and leave the medical stuff too me, you donât have access to the same information as I doâ⌠she also assumed I live in âpovertyâ because I told her I applied for ssi and was denied twice⌠she straight up said that she will not prescribe me any adhd medication until I take the âantipsychoticâ their head psychiatrist does not âbelieveâ in adhd so Iâm assuming thatâs why she isnât educated on it⌠BUT if you ask me, she isnât actually educated in anything other than the basic definitions that were required to pass whatever test she needed to be able to weight prescriptions⌠At this clinic they only treat children for adhd which Iâm assuming is a money thing⌠I asked her thought on adhd and she says the doctor believes adhd is often misdiagnosed and is actually depression and anxiety in children but they canât express it⌠I asked if they did blood work or x rays to help treat their patients for anything⌠of course sheâs not even aware that is a thing⌠she proceeded to tell me about snri and ssri drugs and âthe processâ of finding what works⌠and I quote her again âyou donât need any adhd meds because you have nothing to focus on, you donât have a job and your not in schoolââŚ. One of my biggest concerns is getting back to class now that my 5 year old is back in school and a new semester will be starting soon⌠Iâm a student at Tulane⌠pursuing a double major in neuroscience and psychologyâŚ. If you need help and this place was an option just get some good books and give yourself some grace these people are not worth your time.

This is addressed to the gentleman above: Please consider allowing your staff & clients/patients the use of a patient portal app ..it is Extremely useful for staff & patients. Thank you Thank You Elyria, for reaching out to further services for my sister. You were kind, helpful, very knowledgeable. THANK YOU Dr's Hutchinson & Ballet for assisting with the care & kindness you've both shown.
Nothing but great things to say for the parish services they provide to the community, as they try to make this parish better for its residents and their well being. I highly recommend Jamal, a peer support specialist who need help with their cases. He is angel on earth helping those at risk and will always be in my prayers while he continues to improve the lives of others.
The counseling staff here are wonderful however the admin and clinic staff are disrespectful and are in dire need of customer service training. People come here because they need help and the front end staff can make them feel belittled and like the facility isnt working for them. I'm going to continue going here solely due to the counselor I spoke with, no other reason.
