I waited 45 minutes just to not even get seen by my doctor. “His door was closed so I assume he’s with another patient.” I had an appointment too!! Had to reschedule for another day because I took time out of my workday & I needed to get back to work. Complete ridiculousness.
Had a horrible painful dental experience here, was supposed to just be here for cavity fillings, had to be numbed 6 times because my dentist kept walking away and started working on another patient while I was waiting for the numbing to kick in, but every time they numbed me they waited too long and it went away each time so I felt everything, they broke my tooth which I felt, the fillings were done incorrectly, they literally put the filling overtop of 2 of my teeth which has made them be stuck together, told them I had anxiety from past dentist experiences and my nurse let out a small chuckle under her breath, I am in extreme pain and can hardly open my mouth or eat at the moment, they told me my teeth could be fixed with fillings and then at the end of my appointment told me I had to have them surgically removed and wanted to say that was good news?? It makes no sense, supposed to be coming back to get more fillings, definitely will not be returning, would not recommend going here unless you want to be in pain or want your teeth to be screwed up. (Edit: Forgot to mention that half of the filling I got came off not even an hour after I got it done.) (Another edit: update, filling has come off completely, I now have a huge hole in my tooth that is even worse and bigger than when I went originally, the pain has lasted me months, it’s very hard for me to find another dentist that will take my insurance and doesn’t have a waiting list that goes on for months.)
I’m so disappointed in this healthcare. I went there with myself and grandkids/niece, bc we’re all sick. First of all I get swapped for strep, and it comes back negative. So the nurse practitioner was Courtney, taking it she was new. But she does not know what she’s talking about. My throat is hurting bad, my tonsil was swollen, I sound awful, loosing my voice. Ik I’m sick. She’s telling me we all have a viral thing. She said and did same shit to the kids. So I go to little clinic at Kroger where I work at. They test me, I’m positive, and it’s really bad the doctor said. She didn’t understand how Courtney didn’t give me anything. I would have been much worse if I didn’t go to the clinic and get antibiotics steroids and cough medicine. That’s how sick I am. Healthpoint in Newport don’t know anything anymore. You would think they would listen to you bc we know our bodies and what’s going on!!!! I think even though I’m not a doctor, ik when I’m sick!!!!!!
I made an appointment online over a month in advance and got several confirmation emails that it had been accepted. Today when I showed up they had no appointment listed. I'd tried to call them several times to ask a question ahead of my appointment but never got to speak to anyone, just bounced around their voicemail. When i showed up today at the time i had scheduled and they had confirmed, having made time and arranged transportation etc, i was told i could not be seen for the dental exam i requested - they were only seeing emergencies. When i explained that their website insists on an exam appointment before any emergency work will be done they said they could MAYBE get me seen as an emergency walk in but it would be $125. If i hadn't received a confirmation of my appointment or had been able to speak to a human being that worked there at any point i could have saved myself hours of travel, time and money lost.
I had an appointment scheduled for 2:30 PM to get a cavity filled. I walk in at 2:08 and tell them about my appointment and the receptionists say “we’re done for the day, we called to tell you about the cancellation 3 days ago and your voice mail box was not set up,” which is a complete lie. My voice mail box is set up, they never called me to tell me about the cancellation, and I have no missed call or voice mail from them. I called off work for this and to cancel without telling me and lie to my face about it is ridiculous. Only go here if it is your only option. Go anywhere else whenever possible for all dental work.
