Before HealthFirst Bluegrass, I’d been struggling with ADHD symptoms for years. My previous experiences with doctors were very bad. One treated me with cookie cutter prescriptions and was so cold, I actually cried. The other completely disregarded my symptoms of ADHD (even though I had a diagnosis) and said since ADHD meds are a controlled substance, I was not qualified enough to access them. I thought this was reasonable until HealthFirst Bluegrass took the time to educate me. I learned there are actually non-stimulants that can be prescribed. For the first time in years, I felt like I was being listened to and believed. Dr. David Nicholson compassionately listened to my difficulties and worked with me for months to find the best medicine for my body, lifestyle, and preference. My life has increased dramatically. I am the most dependable version of myself that I have ever been. The office staff are also incredibly helpful and friendly. Appointments I once dreaded, I actually look forward to now!

I honestly think 1 star is too much for this clinic. They’ve got zero bed side manners. We’re rushing from one appointment to the next. Couldn’t take the time to go over expectations after the procedure. Please find somewhere that values patients if you can.

I have been seeing Dr.Larue since 2022, and I would’nt see anyone else now but Dr.LaRue. That man saved my life! He’s not like the doctors I’ve seen in the past, He actually took his time, and made 100% sure that I was given the correct diagnosis, and researched different medications, and put on the medication that would be most effective for each of my diagnosis. He actually cared about me a human being, instead of only a paycheck, and I honestly can’t believe at how well I am actually doing! If you are looking for a Mental Health Doctor, Make an appt. with Dr. LaRue, you will definitely be in good hands, and get the best care for your diagnosis.

They left me naked in a room for an hour and a half waiting for a pap smear. Than my next appointment they left me there for an hour. Once determined I needed a LEEP procedure they informed me my insurance wouldn't cover it. I checked and my insurance does and had been paying for services averaging $200 per visit. I'm now waiting an additional 4 months to have my records sent to another doctor to do my procedure. I've left several messages for management. They don't care! Best they will do is send you a survey. Highly unprofessional. I was told I couldn't refuse a pregnancy test. That its required for a pap smear. Since when can a patient not deny a service?! Best of luck if you use them

I took my husband here because he doesn't have medical insurance and he doesn't speak English. He was a walk-in appt and was the second in line after a scheduled patient and the first walk-in, which was phenomenal. They are staffed with several Spanish speaking employees as well as the dentists. You can make an appt prior to your visit as well. Another plus for them is that they are income based, so so services you receive are based on that, using your prior two months proof of income. The waiting area was tiny bit the actual dental rooms in back are many. Although my husband wasn't able to be treated there he was diagnosed with a bone disease and we took advantage of another one of their great services... referrals. So anyone near the lexington area that doesn't have insurance but can provide proof of a small ANY TYPE of income and are in immediate need of fillings or tooth removal this is it! I only gave 4 stars because there was no consultation before they decided to take pictures and videos. At first i was upset bc it was an unnecessary expense, however it was a much needed diagnosis. Super clean building, knowledgeable bilingual staff, great rates and speedy service.
