I was escaping domestic violence, and I cannot express enough how the doctors and nurses treated me—with kindness, patience, and compassion I truly wasn’t expecting. They went above and beyond to help me, getting me in right away and assisting with everything they could. The only thing I was a tad taken aback by was that the check-in staff didn’t seem as kind to non-Hispanic patients; I saw a few people get almost eye rolls. But hey, we all have bad days, right? Overall, I highly recommend coming here and seeing for yourself. Thank you so much for everything.
Have been here three times so far. Once for a primary care visit and two others for women’s health. The first time was for a lump in my armpit which I was told by Eva Clark that’s not in her expertise so I was not charged for that appointment but had to reschedule with primary care. That appointment after was fine. The fact that you do this type of thing though and don’t somehow know how to check and inform people because of lumps like that close to the breast is actually crazy cause that’s standard practice for breast exams too for women’s health, and what they even tell you to check for at home because a lump in the armpit is literally connected to that if you end up getting BC. I should’ve taken that as a warning for the future visit. I went for a pap smear later on and to address a further concern with an indent on my breast, again with Eva Clark assuming it would be fine since it’s on my actual breast not my armpit. I had questioned if it could be IBC and said I had a mammogram shortly before Thanksgiving, but everything online said it’s impossible for mammograms to pick that up because it presents itself differently. Ms. Clark told me different information contradicting the countless articles I read online saying if it was IBC, then an ultrasound would’ve seen. Seems Google is a better doctor sometimes. She brought in a different doctor to take a look and it was better reassurance relating to my concern and less odd. The pap smear itself was very uncomfortable, more painful, and unprofessional. I have never had a pap smear where two people needed to be present. The other person besides Ms. Clark was the person that usually brings you into a room and asks you questions and then you never see them again for the rest of the visit. Well, this was not the case. For some reason she was in there to hand the Dr. supplies and once they both came in, this other woman had put on gloves only to realize there were no speculums in the room so she left to go get one, I had noticed she kept her gloves on and then came back into the room but didn’t change them and had proceeded to hand Clark supplies, so I had to speak up and asked her to change them because she did that. Both seemed fairly uncomfortable despite saying it’s fine. I told the Dr. I had no way of knowing how many people touched that door handle. So, that woman went out because for some ridiculous reason they don’t have any supplies kept in the rooms with them despite it being a doctor’s office, including gloves. Very unprepared. She came back in with new ones apparently and was holding them in her hand so basically cross contaminated things even more even though usually when you are a professional, you would typically use hand sanitizer before even touching some gloves. Well if I didn’t have an infection coming into the office then I guess I know where I got it for real. I should’ve said to begin with I only needed the doctor in there to complete the exam. All in all it took a very long time too. I arrived before my appointment at 12:30 and didn’t leave until around 1:30 for this, in an office that was not busy at all. This office is a joke. On another note, and to also add on to what has been said by others, this office is expensive. If you don’t have insurance, you’d better hope you’re poor enough to not get charged more than you would at a regular doctor’s office. For the primary care Dr to see me, I got charged over $200 for some insane reason even though I mostly talked and she checked some vitals. It was split in half for payments, I think part of it was before the appointment and then the rest was charged to the portal afterwards. They also do not answer on the patient portal on the app, nor the phone. If someone answers then they tell you to wait and press the button before they even finish their sentence. If you cannot get financial assistance here then please don’t waste your time and just go somewhere else that is actually professional. Only upside to it is that my mammogram was covered through Advent Health.
The people here are lovely but good luck if your not the poorest of poor people on govt insurance as it's insanely expensive out of pocket and they will make you come in for bs visits that cost 150 but provide no actual service. People who pay out of pocket shouldn't even be scheduled for a generic check in nor be required to get them to continue service but alas they decided that since I make slightly too much to apply for assistance they can bleed me dry. Went in today to appointment and like usual I tell them EXACTLY what's wrong during scheduling they give me a price range (which is NEVER acurate!) And I go in to find out that A) they can't actually help me with an impacted wisdom tooth and B) just the initial visit is 50$ more than quoted "max" price for thr procedure they lied about being able to do in the 1st place. Charged me 150 for x-rays that I could have gotten done at whatever dentist I end up going to, and prob for cheaper
I never leave reviews but what happens in this medical center is totally negligent and I know they will not do anything about it because most of the reviews are very bad and they never do anything !! I do not recommend EVA CLARK, she didn't even want to listen to me! With an arrogant face, she didn't give me solutions! Nobody wants to go to the doctor for fun ... come on because our health is at risk and people like these should not be in a health system. her nurse is very despotic in conclusion all the staff even customer service give you shitty treatment .. they never answer the phones, they hang up on you, they put you on hold for up to 20 minutes! and if you go in person they always have a bad face ... I waited for a month and 22 days to get this appointment to have a totally đź’© treatment !!!
I chose to go with Nurse Practitioner for my primary care. I was able to get in sooner for my initial appointment. I feel he's just as knowledgeable as a doctor, and he's able to refer me to any specialist I may need. Be aware don't show up late for your appt, you won't be seen, they will reschedule you.
