Today and last month I couldn't get into my appointments at health ministries for my plobotemy. Those nurses and doctors are unsophisticated, rude, slippery minded, and abusive and neglectful. Today an African American nurse that wore a nose ring and is a bit chubby told me that the doctor wasn't in for the plobotemy and she even rolled her eyes at me when I voiced the inconvenience. The appointment was all planned out and I was driven in the moundridge transit there from moundridge to newton kansas. There was also no notice of cancelation by phone. I am very angry about such rude customer service.
Dr. Goering was my PCP from 2006 til his recent retirement (2023?). He referred me to Diane Newth, APRN, as his replacement. I couldn't be more pleased with her services! I have a very complex medical history and she has risen to the challenge of keeping me well. I also use the HMC pharmacy. Due to their patient assistance program, I have been able to afford (or receive for free)my many, needed medications. I also recvd outpatient chemotherapy at the "satellite" office of Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK), within HMC. Newton is lucky to have the HMC campus with all of the services it provides.
I had a hard time finding a doctor after mine retired. Health Ministries was recommended by several people. They were correct. My first visit was 30-45 minutes. They spent time getting to know me and my health. Every follow up visit is at least 15 minutes I have never felt rushed. When I email, I always have a response within an hour or so. I highly recommend
One of the worst care facilities I've ever experienced. They are affordable but I suppose they give you what you can pay for. Went in to be seen for breathing complications and the Dr was seemingly more concerned with getting me out the door than actually diagnosing anything. He quickly told me he'd give me a prescription and a referral to an ENT and leaves the room. I wandered back to the lobby area and that was that, no further info, no update on the prescription, just leave. Finally I call about my prescription and the pharmacist has no record of it, 24 hours later when the dr comes back they finally fill my script. I wait 3 weeks anxiously for the ENT to call because they told me it would be a few days, finally more than a week after my prescription has ended and closing in on a month since my visit I call to ask about the referral. They inform me their records show I rejected the referral. In disgusted with this places incompetence, I'm lucky enough to be able to find another care facility besides this clown show, but most of their patients aren't and are struggling just to find any Healthcare. This facility is actively failing their patients, let's hope they don't forget anyone who doesn't have the means to advocate for themselves.
At the moment - very sad, I couldn't get prescriptions as prescribed for 5 days. There was no one who would help me by phone. I couldn't even get through to my doctor's office, not even in person. These are prescribed for certain diseases, but they can also alter my mood. Going without & driving to town multiple futile times, can make one very cranky. Mood altered or not. However they called ME, & said I couldn't return if I was going to be "derogatory" . You know what? I do not think that I am in that much control when I am not properly & timely medicated. So sorry world.
