I just called to get help for a friend of mine. Evonne answered the phone and helped me immediately. She had all sorts of information… She even gave me answers to questions that I didn't know I needed to ask! I've forwarded the information and am looking to hear of the positive results
very awkward visit. feel like it was his first day on the job. couldn’t handle the blood draw. the whole hour was just a mess. would not recommend
Today at 8:45 am I had a dental appointment there in the university building. A Spanish-speaking dental assistant was quite arrogant and had a more than negative attitude. On at least three occasions she addressed me with quite sharp words, using rude remarks such as: "If you don't mind us rescheduling, I don't care. We'll already charge you for today's appointment, so I don't care what you say." They should choose their staff more carefully because a user doesn't deserve to be disrespected.
Came in with my mom at 12pm, was sitting there waiting for 4 hours to get seen. They dont tell you about the process of who goes back first or when you'll go back. We had people before and after us go in and come back out during that time. They kept telling us we would be next, but some else got called when the time came. They also set up an appointment even if your just a walkin, no one tells you this. Our "appointment" was at 245, well over an hour from when we got there(then wount even let you leave and come back, if you do leave your forfeit your spot in line... side thing is even if people forfeittheir spots no one gets in any sooner). At 245 we were told that they are backed up and would see us as soon as possible. Yet we saw workers going on lunch and leaving(which wouldnt be an issue expect for them being "behind" and forcing us to wait even longer after our "appointment"). The ladies at the front desk kept talking to each other more than caring about the people in lobby. We waited over an hour after our supposed "appointment" and still had yet to be seen. They close at 5pm. When we finally got back the lady was nice, but it didnt seem like she knew what she was doing.
I blindly found Renea Kestel and this doctors office online prior to moving to Des Moines from out of state and I very much regret that decision but there weren’t many other options for new patients. The office is VERY poorly operated and it is very difficult to get anyone on the phone, get messages through, or get anything done. I saw her for simple maintenance and ADHD meds that I’ve been on for years. At my last check up to get more refills she acted as if everything was fine but did not send in the usual 3 months of refills. I’ve spent hours calling the office to get the refills and was told last week that it was all set and I’d be good for six months. Got another call today saying that I need to see a different provider for my refills with no explanation. She never mentioned this in my appt and didn’t have the courtesy to even give me enough time to find another provider. Absolutely avoid her and this office at all costs. Huge and unnecessary stressor.
