NP Conner got me the meds I needed when my previous provider dropped me and would not fill my meds. I was suffering from severe withdrawal. He was an angel when I needed it. I'm now doing much better and he got me a referral to a psych in the same building. I have no complaints at all.
Don’t come here if you want to wait forever. Got checked in and waited 20 minutes. Only got brought back because I said something. Took my blood pressure and weight, sat me back in the room for another 20 minutes. Finally got up and left because all I heard was laughing outside the room. Looked outside to see the doctor, goes by the name of Molly, told me to just go to urgent care without even properly seeing me or addressing my concerns. Another doctor that doesn’t care about her patients’ wellbeing. If something happens to me due to her negligence (this is my second time here, first appointment took an hour!!) … y’all know why. DO NOT COME HERE!!
It is so scary going into the doctor when you have very real mental health concerns happening. The care team at ODHS recognizes this, and treated me like a human. As they should. I felt seen going to behavioral health on the 3rd floor. Full of anxiety, the scheduler (Roberta) had given me clear instructions on how to access the elevator ahead of my visit. The Receptionist upon entering the 3rd floor, was so kind and compassionate, despite being super busy. I felt no stress from her. All 3 of them were made for that job!! Heather Turner, my primary NP- wow. ♥️ She truly cares for her patients. I have not followed her instructions more times than I can count, and yet every time I need her, she's there. Her staff at the YWCA, GREAT JOB ALSO! I really do adore everyone at ODHS. Job well done 👏 And, this time....I finally am ready to listen and do the work needed and I know that my whole care team believes in me. That is so important!!
Dr Melanie Hamlin and the whole staff is incredible. I have not been to the Dr in years because of mental health issues, I have gotten them somewhat manageable with my psychiatrist. So being the first time going to a dr for my many physical health issues was extremely scary but from the moment I walked in the door , the whole process was incredible thanks to the whole staff.
Has always been a pleasant experience the weights are never all that long. There's ample seating in the waiting room. Anb is the best she really listens to my concerns and addresses them in a way I can understand she's always sharing her knowledge with a student which I commend in doing so I never feel the lack of personal attention she gives me for that I'm grateful I sure am going to miss her when she retires
