Went in for severe athsma and needed medicine. The doctor did a great job. However I was unable to ever get my medicine. It was never sent to my pharmacy and when I tried to call I was put on hold till they were closed. I want to be able to support this place but time after time I have been unable to get the medicine that I need to live with my chronic asthma conditions. However time and time again they have failed me in thay regard. Words can not be used properly to describe how upset I am with this current establishment.
Terrible. I have had so much trouble with my provider sending right information on a PA for a medication that HE prescribed. Left unanswered questions, which resulted in a resubmit and most recently TODAY wrote the wrong dosage on the PA which resulted in a resub mit which I suspect will take another week or 2. They dont return phone calls or answer messages on their patient portal. Filed a complaint with my insurance company. If you need critical meds dont go to this place... pretty bad when a pharmacy has a special spot on their computer called problem children for them.. and thats a true statement!!!
Disorganization, patient portal requests are never taken care of, getting medication refills are awful, and service has gone downhill over the years. Providers and nurses are great, but that doesn't outweigh the negative.
Super busy compared to what I’m used too but the staff were extremely friendly. Clean facility. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because they seemed too busy talking to each other to call the next number up. I sat there waiting for the giggling and talking to stop till they called the next number. Once I got up there though they were nice about it.
This is an incredibly long story, but I am going to keep it short for simplicity. There are a few main problems with Riggs Community Health Center. 1. Do not expect to get good service over the phone. They had failed to bill my insurance multiple times. Every time I would call, nobody would answer. It finally got to a point where I was on a joint call with my insurance and then the manager. The manager was incredibly rude to both me and my insurance representative. 2. Last fall, I saw provider Olushola Ajadi, FNP. I presented with nausea and vomiting. He was very dismissive of my problems, including my family history of GI diseases. He did not ask me anything about my diet, and chalked up my symptoms to anxiety. His "assessment" was incredibly subpar. He sent me home with an anti-nausea medication which did not help me. Fast forward half a year, I am now having to undergo surgery for a physiological problem after seeing a specialist that would actually take me seriously. FNP Ajadi did not seem to care about my concerns, and even stated himself that "Anxiety typically doesn't present with vomiting." I would not recommend this provider to anyone. Visiting this clinic has caused me unnecessary stress and delayed my treatment by three months.
