Hello I was there at the lab with my mom on 2-2. It’s not our first time there, however I decided to leave a comment about the African American woman that’s always working named Ebony, which I’m happy about because we only look for her. Omg she is ALWAYS a breath of fresh air. Our experience is very pleasant, caring, & full of compassion. I can tell she enjoys & loves what she does. Thank you very much!
This morning at around 9:30 on January 6th, 2026. I went into the laboratory to follow up with a blood work my doctor requested me to take the the will county healthcare department. when i walked in into the actual clinic i was greeted as always. As i proceeded to walk into the laboratory the person at the front desk looked at me with such hatred after speaking spanish. Not saying it was because of me speaking spanish but her attitude towards me didn’t help. I proceeded to say hello and with attitude she just nodded her head. Which is fine i have all respect for healthcare workers and understand it can be tiring! After that i have my blood work paper and without even looking at the paper she gave it back rudely saying “ we don’t do those here” i proceeded to explain how my doctor sent me there and she didn’t seem to care to listen. Instead of arguing, i thanked her for her time and left. There is no reason for attitude as i was respectful the whole time. Worst experience ive had there and ive been going there for 18 years!
We have utilized the immunization clinic for our kids vaccines each of the last two years and with all of the uncertainty and inconsistentcy with the CDC, the clinic has been very informative and has put us at ease about utilizing them going forward! Thank you for ensuring the safety of our kids! The administers of the vaccines have always made our boys laugh as well!
Occurred: August 22 around 9:00AM - 9:30AM The county health department is extremely unprofessional and fails to provide the basic standard of care that a public institution should. I personally witnessed an African American staff member yelling at a Spanish-speaking individual who did not fully understand English, rather than offering proper assistance or translation services. This conduct could be considered discriminatory under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which protects individuals from discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in federally funded programs. The nurses are equally disrespectful, dismissive, and unapproachable, creating an environment that feels hostile instead of supportive. This facility urgently needs to be evaluated, retrained, or even sued for negligence and potential violations of patient rights.
Our experience here was wonderful. I found out (last minute) before school was starting that our primary care doctor no longer does shots. Contacted the health department. Had to leave a voicemail but they got back to me within the hour and were able to schedule us in within the next week. Coming into our appointment, everyone was extremely kind. Candace was extremely patient with us. Double checked our paperwork and sent us on our way. Patricia was our nurse. She was incredibly helpful. Our daughter was incredibly anxious, and needed TONS of reassurance. Patricia took her time, reassured her numerous times, and got the shots done without any tears. Also, made extra copies without me asking for the school and that was really appreciated. Overall, our experience was very positive despite the other reviews!
