Worst facility in Waianae, incompetent care. Specifically ER Newman, and General Medicine/Women's health Jennifer Williams APRN (white hair). Her and her administration want to bill bill bill for things that can be taken care of via patient portal like documentation for schools, work..etc even with recent appointments. I had just walked out of an appointment and forgot to gather my document for work, she wanted me to go back and be seen just for her to fill the paper out. I had issues at the front with my insurance I had reviewed a called spoke to billing months before my scheduled appointment. The front desk called me MINUTES before my appointment as they were unsure with my insurance. The insurance that had been vetted before making the appointment! When I showed up I was livid. I went back to see Jennifer APRN and she had the audacity to lie and write white coat syndrome after I had explained my BP was raised from the incompetency! She made it about herself somehow LOL. Talk about grandiose. Reviewing results, she wanted me to make a separate appointment for this and not review it while I was in front of her at a current appointment. My child was seen in ER and Newman was entitled, rude, and brushed off all urgent matters in my child's case. His attitude and disrespect was enough for me never to want to return to this ER. The entire campus would do better by firing everyone and hiring the right staff. Their pharmacy and lab are not even under the same umbrella as the healthcare there. So that means you will be billed separately! Laboratory was so unprofessional. As I was walking up with my child to get labs drawn there were two women on their phone, knew I was standing there and had me continue to wait two minutes until they were done talking and laughing about what they were looking at on their phone. There is no accountability at this place, everywhere you turn. When we went back the women were so terrible with my kid. This is a small complaint but not even kid bandaids in laboratory or in the pediatric department! This facility also messed up with our billing to bill us the max with inappropriate codes. If I was elderly and didn't have a background in this, I would have never caught it. I cannot imagine how many patrons are ripped off financially, left with bills on bills, as they commit insurance fraud. Do not get seen here, and run if you just established care.
Update: it got worse. I am type 2 diabetic and asked to be switched to a new provider because Jennifer Williams told me to hush I talk to fast. And now refuses my refills since I asked for a referral to new doctor to see me. It’s not a different practice but she says she won’t refill because I asked for a nicer doctor. Been trying for 6 weeks to get lab work done. Doctor keeps failing to send orders. I get turned away each time I go to lab. I can’t get prescriptions filled until bloodwork. I’m out of meds. My mental health is affected tremendously by this lack of concern and care. Doctor does not seem to care. The staff at check in desk has been nice to me though.
WCCHC does not provide quality medical care to their patients. The facility treats their patients poorly because we need them and for some this is their only option. The staff does not listen or hear your concerns. They overbook the speciality appointments. Make you wait for your appointments as if our time is not of value. The staff is not professional and not does not work with a sense of urgency. My appointments for my shoulder and knees started April 2025, 2nd F/U appointment Ortho did exam my knees or shoulders, I got PT 6 sessions but no changes with my shoulder. Requested a new ortho on 7/2 walked out of Ortho appointment 6/16 because he had me waiting for over 90 minutes. 7/7 F/U with PCP office-Mgr the referral was made next available, because I did not tell the staff it was urgent. Although I told the receptionist I needed to see a ortho because the pain in my shoulder has not changed, since April and I did not receive any medical treatment for my sore knees 7/8 F/U with PCP Mgr information finally sent to ortho, this morning called the ortho office to confirm, the referral was made for my right knee nothing was mention about my shoulder. EPIC FAIL!!!!!!! My son and I have been a patient at the WCCHC since 2004. I have lost total confidence with WCCHC, we the community deserve to receive quality medical care and it is definitely not happening at WCCHC. I am currently looking for physicians at another facility.
Would give it no stars at this point. Went to this womens clinic for a year for CBC blood test to treat my anemia and when I asked for a hematologist, the doctor refused and said it's the cost that matters and tried to persuade me to not get one. Now I'm a Hemaphobe (fear of blood) and I hate blood test. Eventually the doctor said we'll do a genetic blood test with a CBC. So I said "ok" went to the lab and they took 4 VIALS of my blood without telling me what they were used for. So I thought it was for the CBC and a genetic blood test. Nope, it was only a CBC not genetic blood test at all. Turns out there was an appointment that was for a "genetic questionnaire," which made no sense since I already told them my family medical history, what I've been looking for etc. They also put me down for a pap smear which I didn't consent to. I thought the appointment was for us to go over the lab results. So I called and told them on 4/18/2025 that if I don't get my genetic blood results that day I would call them and terminate my patient care with them, I also had them transfer me to a new PCP who I never met because I couldnt leave it blank with them which pissed me off but whatever. Today (4/21/2025) I called, told them that since I didn't get the results that day, I am going to terminate my patient care with them and that they clearly don't care about my health. Just the memory of the lab people drawing out for vials of blood in my arm is getting me pissed off and angry. I will say though that the Mental Health area is the best though, they are nice and amazing people and my therapist there is amazing. So atleast there is that to look forward to.
I've been going to the comp for over 15 years both clinics and a few ER visits for both myself and my daughter.. overall I haven't really had any issues except for as others have stated as well the rude receptionist. Seriously some people should not answer phones. I see Dottie fale who has been absolutely great thus far always responds quickly to issues I may have. Pediatric clinic saw Dr nesbitt who has also been amazing. The walk in clinic at waianae Mall however is horrid as well as nanakuli clinic their desks staff are generally ignoring patients talking amongst themselves. They left my daughter in a room for over an hour. She went in for fever not feeling well she wound up having COVID she said they treated her like she was a lepar granted no one wants COVID but that's why we're using masks in hospitals
