I hate to have to post this review. The doctors at this clinic are amazing. The front staff is friendly. However, in the last 6 months I've had my appointment changed two times without informing me. They are happy to call you to remind you about your appointment or beg for ratings, but basic things like changing patient appointments falls through the cracks. I have twice now had my day arranged for an appointment at the doctor's s just to find out same day or upon arrival that my appointment has been changed. Not the end of the world, but not a great sign for the future. I am conflicted because the doctors are so good but communication to patients about scheduling sucks. I do not need multiple phone calls after each appointment begging for our reviews, please only call your patients when it's important.
Tiny Steven's nurse set me up an appointment for a mammogram telling me not to worry as the visit costs were covered because I had no insurance. She also said that if I missed the appointment she made for me that I woukd never be able to go for free again under the grant. It's been a year and I'm still struggling on how to pay this bill that was NOT covered. I also had as needed medication with a refill then when I went to refill their pharmacy called to tell me I couldn't get it unless I made an appt to see the dr. The refill was still in a proper time frame to be refilled. You are suppose to trust your health care staff and this office is not a trusted one.
My daughter’s, Arianna and Agaya, saw Dr.Esho for years prior to us moving out of state. He took the time to listen to my concerns. He even accommodated us with a modified vaccination schedule( I wanted my daughter’s vaccines spread out). His office was always clean( no overflowing trash cans or dirty bathrooms). Plus, he works very well with children. You can tell he genuinely cares about the health and safety of his patients. Most recently I needed assistance with an important matter and Miss Carol was nice enough to help me after the other girl I spoke with gave me the run around the week before.
It is rare to find such a well-run practice. So rare, that I'm writing this review. The front office staff is welcoming and efficient. Nurse Sara who works for Dr. Joaquin Heng is knowledgeable, thorough and a complete delight to talk to. Dr. Heng took the time to listen and absorb a lot of information from this first time patient. I was deeply impressed by him and his "bedside" manner. He reminded me of physicians I saw in my youth before medical care in many practices is more of an assembly line, as in how many patients could be pushed through the process in any given amount of time. I highly recommend this group of physicians and nurses and in particular, Dr. Joaquin Heng.
I have been a patient at the practice for about four years. My routine care was good and I enjoyed Dr Gowdie. Her personal nurse however, lacked patient care skills (I am a former nurse ). today I decided to leave the practice. I made three phone calls on three consecutive days asking for medical help and never got a call back. I eventually went to the urgent care so I could be seen. I find that unacceptable. I’ve made an appointment with a private physician.
