i truly hate this place with a passion. they always call and say come 40 minutes before your appointment. my appointment was at 11:15. i arrived at 10. i didn’t get seen until a little over passed 12. and then i get overstimulated when the doctor asks the same questions over and over and over again. do you not have any notes written down ????? then omg i had to get blood drawn again. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER TO GET YOUR BLOOD DRAWN. the phlebotomists here at mary center are THE WORST. i get my blood drawn all the time sometimes every 3 months sometimes every 6 months. never have i ever had a horrible phlebotomist like today. they’re so cold and seem so annoyed with their jobs. the phlebotomists at medstar always make small talk to make you feel comfortable and have THE softest hands. all in general im sick and tired of this place. no parking. always tell us to come 40 min before appointment but it’s OKAY for them to be a whole hour late. when YOU have plans. you basically have to get the whole day off to come at mary center.
Today was my first pregnancy appointment at this clinic, and I couldn't be more grateful. I was treated by Dr. Brennan Jacobs, who made me feel wonderful, safe, and in good hands. The wait time is adequate for any clinic with this number of patients. I hope everyone who comes can have the same experience as me.
Usually don't have any problems here and I know this clinic doesn't have a good reputation but it's around the corner from me. I got this one doctor, I believe her name was Agarwal, and it was probably the worst doc I've encountered. I was there for one thing and she listed my previous appointments and questioning what was my reason for this appointment. Like I was making stuff up?? Weird experience and vibes from her. I was being nice by answering her relevant questions. Then when I got to the blood work room, she was right there. Talking to the other staff members about how the examination was and how I was probably being a difficult patient for her. I'm sure she treats her clients like they are mental. If you come here, better know a specific doctor or they'll set you up with anyone.
I called in early October to schedule a dental appointment for a cleaning. I was informed that the schedule was fully booked and advised to call back during the week of the 21st, when the November bookings would reopen. When I called today, October 23rd, I was told that the November schedule is completely full and that the slots opened last week. This is quite frustrating, especially since I received incorrect information. I have been waiting since September for this cleaning, and now it seems I won’t be able to get an appointment until December. Unfortunately, I will be seeking a new dental office.
I truly want to like this place because the staff is nice and my visits have been good so far, but the organization as a whole is extremely disorganized. I have been trying to get some meds refilled for the better part of three weeks now, and no one has been able to help. I requested a refill through their portal, and a week went by with no response. My pharmacist requested a refill, and another week passed with nothing. I called multiple times and was told to call back in an hour to speak with the nurse team. Over the course of that week, no one answered the phone. This is insane. No one has the time to go back and forth with a clinic over medication refills. I can't imagine if I were older, less tech-savvy, or didn't speak English well—this place would not accommodate me. If these were lifesaving meds, I would be dead by now. Please get it together.
