I am truly grateful to have had such an amazing doctor Charlotte. From the very first visit, she made me feel heard, respected, and safe. Her calm, gentle approach and reassuring words brought me so much comfort during times when my mind felt overwhelmed. She helped me trust the process even when trusting felt difficult. She is not only highly knowledgeable, but also incredibly compassionate. I will always be thankful for her care and kindness.
Arrived at my appointment on time front desk took long to call us, older lady in the teal Tod was just looking at computer not doing anything when called upfront the girl told me I was late to my appointment and my daughter was not going to be able to get seen unless the next appointment didn't showed up. Took 3 weeks to get an appointment missed work and even took my daughter out of school for nothing. Also older lady in the teal Tod speaking Spanish tell coworkers due to being "late" my daughter wasn't going to get seen by a physician horrible front desk service been here for almost 7 years definitely looking for another provider.
This is my PCP and I don't really like it. I love my main doctor, but I forget her name. Everything else about this location is bad. I live in Thornton meaning I have to take a 2-hour bus ride just to get here... Because they shut down the Thornton clinic for no reason. When I went to get my bloodwork done here, the lady really wasn't too professional with me. And by that, I mean I was trying to get her attention to figure out what to do before I just went back to the red pod to ask. When I finally got the paperwork from the red pod, I then went back to the lab and the lady lit up like some sort of robot just waking up from a sleep. I don't know why she didn't tell me just to go to the red pod like any other person with good customer service would do. Also I had to call the nurse to get my STD results, which was one of the main reasons I had a past visit at this location. What really annoys me is that if I go do "something" with someone right now, they're going to want papers but all I have is a phone call to prove negative. And then finally one day when I was hanging out with someone, the "department for infectious disease" calls me and says that they would rather handle my case and were referred. I don't know who those people are, why they are calling me, or if they actually were referred from that doctor that I like. The last I know, I tested positive for chlamydia and I took all the medicine that I was prescribed so I should be able to go back into the Lafayette clinic and see if I'm negative. They will not allow me to do that because they want to see me 3 months after I finished the medicine which, literally no other STD test I've ever took has done that to me. I usually am able to go back into the clinic with no problem and figure out if I'm negative or not at any other clinic. At this point in time I'm pretty sure I am negative for chlamydia because the medicine is all gone. But the clinic will not allow me to retest to find out if that is true or not so at this point I have to assume I'm positive. That's not how STD testing is supposed to work.
Checked in at 9:30 for my one year old. Didn’t get attended until noon. When they finally showed up after hearing my son cry for HOURS they tried to force me to reschedule my appointment instead since it was their lunch break. Will not be returning. They took over 30 mins to find the vaccines they were going to give him. Did not double check them. Only gave him half. On top of all of that printed me the WRONG paperwork I asked for. Edit: I had also asked for an Iron test which I NEVER got. Case worked Jessica told me “at least it don’t happen when everyone expected it to” when I found out I was Pregnant. She violated HIPPAA and told people about my pregnancy.
This place is the textbook case of American healthcare’s slide into enshittification. From the outside, Clinica Family Health & Wellness looks impressive: big, shiny office in Lafayette, slick branding, all the appearances of competence. Step inside, though, and the glossy façade peels away fast. What you actually get is an endless labyrinth of phone trees, call center receptionists, and a parade of underpaid medical techs doing the heavy lifting. They technically have a few (temp?) nurse practitioners on staff, and if you’re extremely lucky, you might even glimpse an actual doctor, though don’t hold your breath. He’s booked out for months. Meanwhile, the nurse practitioners are only a two-week wait… and they’ll call you whenever it suits them, not when your "phone appointment" is scheduled for. I’ve had multiple random receptionists threaten me over updated insurance paperwork. I get the need to validate coverage of new patients, but existing (paying) paitents don't get treated any better. But hey, at least they make time to flood my inbox with weekly spam about how “great” they are, complete with surveys asking how they can improve. Spoiler alert: the list is way too long for your little text box. There’s a reason this place has such low ratings. DO NOT GO HERE unless you’re into being treated like a policy number instead of a patient. I could fill two pages with complaints, but nothing would change, they don’t care about helping people, only about billing and luring you back next time. Welcome to the hellscape of modern American healthcare, starring Clinica.
