Can't get through to the main clinic to reschedule my appointment with Dr Mitchel Hawley. Spent 80+ min on the phone yesterday, over 4 attempts. A woman answered once after 30 min on hold, then transferred me to a line that advised it was not working. I have no way to contact the provider via telephone because no one will answer a call at the main clinic. This doctor is nowhere listed in the provider email directly, nor is his specialty type, how on earth am I to reschedule my appointment? I sent emails to other departments asking for help to get someone from this providers office to contact me for reschedule. Nothing.
Robin Pendleton is an excellent family practice medical professional. The support staff is very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. I always feel better when I leave and know they will respond to my messages and follow through with any concerns I may have.
The front desk lady was extremely helpful and very friendly. I didn’t catch your name, but she has glasses and short hair. Very sweet lady and she gave great care to every person that came, including myself.
Overall the experience was adequate. My brother ( the patient) was not happy with the doctor's inter personnel skills. She was abrupt and simply stated. " I'm not a magician. I can't perform magic " . I explained that diagnostic test have been run and run and run and run. With no diagnosis or treatment plan. My brother) who has Autism) tried to explain that his diarrhea has caused him to not be able to walk his dog The doctor's response was " I don't care about your dog " Now I understand that the doctor is very busy and me saying that all that seems to happen is run tests repeatedly was probably annoying. However she didn't have to be what I consider rude to my special needs brother. The doctor recommended we just have my brother take Imodium. I explained that we tried that when his problem started 4 years ago. She said " well that's all we can do ". I truly appreciate and admire all that SCHS does and the great staff.
Shasta Community Health Center is a rare and special organization that is helping the underserved people in Shasta County who don’t have great insurance or access to quality health care. Even if you’re struggling and can’t afford to pay, you’re still able to be seen, get your prescriptions, and get your blood work done. It’s a federally subsidized program and business that Redding, California, is truly blessed to have serving its community. I cannot say enough great things about the check-in staff, and especially Emily K who you’ll meet after you check in. She and her co-workers are kind and amazing. Emily started working there when she was 18 and is now 22. She genuinely loves being there, and it shows. After that, you might be helped by a nice lady named Darcy who will treat you with kindness and respect and help get you checked in to see your doctor. Special thanks to Amanda Eastman and Joseph Lee, my heroes 🦸‍♀️ 🦸!!’n Do yourself a favor and utilize these services today. You will be very glad that you did. The building is newly renovated and clean. Everyone is kind, respectful, and greets you with a smile. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. Shasta County is lucky to have them.
