We'll first of all My Doctor Edward Alexander is the Best I've been with him almost 15' years now and I won't change him for the world ever he knows my body and pain and has did his best to out in the right hands of all doctors He's send me , And I'm serious he's the highest praise from lot's of Patients not just ME.im sure
I felt compelled to write this detailed review regarding my recent visit to the South Central Family Health Center because, even though community clinics are often incredibly busy, my experience here was distinct enough that I wanted to share the specifics of how the staff handled my care from start to finish. Although the parking lot was full and the waiting room was packed when I arrived, leading to a longer wait time than I had initially hoped for, the front desk staff remained surprisingly composed and efficient while managing the long line of patients checking in. Once I was finally called back for my appointment, the shift in atmosphere was immediate; the medical assistant was gentle and professional during the intake process, and the doctor actually took the time to sit down and listen to my specific concerns regarding my health needs rather than rushing through the exam or just staring at a computer screen the whole time. It is rare to find a facility that balances such a high volume of patients with a genuine personal touch, but the way they explained my treatment plan and ensured I understood my prescription instructions before I left made me feel valued as a person rather than just a number. Despite the logistical challenges of a busy health center, the quality of medical attention and the compassion shown by the team made the wait worthwhile, and I would recommend this place to others looking for thorough care.
Everyone was friendly and helpful at the clinic. I was made to feel very comfortable. Dr. Chong explained everything clearly. The woman who did my mammogram got me through it with ease and was gentle. I was treated very well at SCFHC.
I took my child for his 1-year appointment, and the experience was terrible from start to finish. The front desk staff were extremely rude — anytime I asked a question, their go-to response was “I don’t know.” That is not the kind of attitude parents should deal with when bringing in their children for care. The doctor also did not ask if I had any questions or concerns about my child’s health. I had to stop him mid-visit and say “hold up” just to get a chance to ask questions. For a child’s check-up, communication and reassurance are very important, and that was completely lacking. This was a horrible experience for such an important milestone appointment. This clinic needs to do much better in how they treat families and children. Parents should feel respected and supported, not dismissed.
I'm extremely frustrated with the scheduling process. It's incredibly difficult to get an appointment, and when I finally do, it's almost never with the same provider because my regular one is always booked out. On top of that, reaching someone by phone is nearly impossible — I waited over 20 minutes on hold without getting an answer. This level of service is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. As proof of how long I’m holding there’s the picture.
