All of the nurses who assisted me were very kind and attentive. I especially appreciated how smoothly everything was handled. My nurse Mary was professional and took good care of me. I would suggest that a warmer demeanor or more frequent smiling could help patients feel even more at ease, as procedures like this can be stressful. Thank you to Dr. Ghobriel Bassem and the entire team for performing my colonoscopy 2/12/26. I truly appreciate the care, professionalism, and support throughout the process. fr: l.medrano
Please note that security checks will be conducted before entering the hospital’s main entrance. The service is goid. The facility has multiple floors, and a cafeteria is located toward the back, past the historic building, which is quite charming. The cafeteria offers affordable options—for example, a slice of pizza is only $4.00—and the space is bright and clean. It will be nice if there are more outdoor seating area. The parking is quite big, but full.
At about 1230 I had severe bloating and a possible rupture of an ulcer. My RN friend told me to go to the ER because this is serious. Instead of diagnosing me, they just looked at my chart and judged me. I was in severe pain at home so I figured I’d go to the hospital but they never gave me anything so I just sat there crept over they didn’t actually check me in fully I did Not look My best perhaps, but I also is severely sick. Pain level was 10 out of 10. The nurses put me in a room. My stomach felt like it was splitting in half. My head Wound was Infected And a projectile was still sticking out of my arm when they released me I was terrified to sleep without knowing that I was gonna die And not wake up the next day. But nobody came no medication was given literally no care whatsoever. It’s been hours and I had to go home because I had Ibuprofen and since I had been offered nothing I had to Make the pain go away. Hours later, I’m still in pain. I don’t know what’s going on with me but the nurses on that shift Clearly did not care. This is the worst pain of my life, and I don’t know Wrong but no one was coming to help me instead they were in the hallway gossiping. When I got up to leave, they checked my insurance Has to charge me for absolutely nothing And when I went to discharge, maybe they realize I wasn’t even checked in They literally treating me like a homeless person. I hope I make it through the night.. This is clearly a racial issue in healthcare. I have great insurance. The Dirty looks, they gave me as I walked out the doors at no point they speak Acknowledge me at all I figured if I am going to die tonight, at least I won’t be dying and being judged at the same time of people who don’t even care about sick black people. This experience Let me feeling worse, physically, and emotionally And the possibility of it happening again I’d rather just Pray Or like some sage do a rain dance, Perhaps not split a pole. I want to go back to the ER but I don’t want to Recharge well asking for help. If I am to die, I think I’d prefer that then returning to the hospital
The surgery for my brother's colon cancer was successful. This hospital was clean and had great customer service. Always put GOD FIRST and you will never be alone no matter what you may be going through. He (GOD) is always with you.
My daughter just had her baby here. Security is so tight and we liked that so much. Everything was modern and clean. The place is actually beautiful. I went to the cafeteria, uh well you probably already know about hospital food. Decent prices though! They have a Pete's on the first floor and they make great coffee, mochas and hot chocolate. During this pandemic they allowed only two of the same visitors the whole time. No one under 16. We found San Joaquin General pleasant and satisfactory
